Australia Federal Election - 2013 Request to all Australians of Sri Lankan Origin to Place the Greens Last The Greens Party of Australia has been the purveyor of one of the most virulent and continuous anti-Sri Lankan propaganda campaigns repeating the false information fabricated by the Tamil Tiger Diaspora. The statements in the Parliament by Greens Senators Lee Rhiannon, Sarah Hanson–Young, as well as the former and current Leaders Bob Brown and Christine Milne, have been highly biased towards the separatist terrorists to the extent that they were in effect supporting the balkanization of Sri Lanka. The Greens have also moved several anti Sri Lankan resolutions in Parliament and criticized the major Parties, namely the ALP and the Coalition, for any support provided to Sri Lanka. The stand of the Greens has also encouraged people smugglers and bogus refugees who tarnish the image of Sri Lanka for their personal gain. A Greens Senate candidate at the last election proudly defended a close relative who was jailed in the UK for raising funds for the LTTE. The Greens one sided speeches, interviews over the media before the war against the separatist terrorist attempted to hide the ferocity of the Tamil Tigers while their efforts during the war and in the post war era smacked of unmitigated obduracy. In fact, the position taken by the parliamentarians of Australia (Hon. Bob Carr, Hon. Julie Bishop and Hon. Scott Morrison) Britain (Hon. Ian Paisley Jr.) and the USA (Senator Eni Faleomavaega) who visited Sri Lanka contradicted the Greens conclusions on Sri Lanka thus paving the way to much improved bilateral relations between Australia and Sri Lanka. In view of the self-serving, short-sighted and extremely inflammatory policy and the actions of the Greens Party with regard to Sri Lanka, we appeal to all the Australians of Sri Lankan origin to PLACE THE GREENS LAST on their ballot papers at the September General Elections. Your action will convey a message to the Greens Party as well as to their supporters that Australians are for engagement when it comes to the international relations and not fornarrow minded political chicanery. Thank You UNITED AUSTRALIANS OF SRI LANKAN ORGIN
