Australia, this financial year 2013/14 will donate in foreign aid, approx $ 3311.6 Billion to approx 34 countries. Out of the 34 countries , 11 of those have an Islamic population of 10 - 100 % , eg : Sri Lanka is 10 % and Maldives is 100% Islamic. In total Australia will donate approx $ 1572.8 Billion to those 11 countries. The remaining $ 1738.8 Billion will be donated to the 23 other countries . Of these Countries their Islamic population ranges between 0 -10 % , eg : Tokelau 0% - Philippines 5%. I strongly resent the amount of foreign aid been given to predominately Islamic countries. According to the 2011 Census , Australias Islamic population was at 2.2% , however 9.4 % was recorded as undeclared . If you take into account the known % of Muslims arriving as boat ppl and claiming refugee status , as well as the unknown amount of those ppl who may have made it to our shores undetected , since the 2011 Census ,it can be assumed that the Muslim population in Australia would have to be approx 3-5 %. I believe that the only way to reduce the volume of muslims in this country is to make it more financially appealing for them to NOT be in Australia , and to make it less tolerable for them to be here. I think that if the Islamic refugees had to wait 2 years after refugee status was granted ( not including the time spent in a detention centre ) to be eligible for any financial assistance , including housing and medicare , income support etc then they would be less inclined to want to be here. I also think that if after the 2 yr waiting period , if they still choose to stay then they should be charged a % of the cost incurred by the Government to process their claim for refugee status and their detention . I do not believe that they should be eligible for citizenship, at all. If both local and state governments halted approval of building permits for Mosques , and denied solely Islamic charities it would make it less appealing here in Australia. The Islamic religion preaches intolerance to everyone and everything that is not Islamic . They see any tolerance or co operation as weakness. I say we dont give in to them .
