Australian Equities Market THIS MORNING In Australia, the NAB business survey and housing finance data are released. In the US, weekly chain store sales data is released together with wholesale sales and inventories. Traders digested the latest credit ratings news and Chinese economic data. Shares in McDonalds rose by 1.2pct after data showed a lift in world-wide sales in May. But shares in homebuilders were weaker on changes to stockbroker ratings. The Dow Jones fell by 9.5pts or 0.1pct but the S&P 500 fell by 0.57 points or less than 0.1pct while the Nasdaq gained 4.5pts or 0.1pct. Last week, the Dow gained 0.9pct, the S&P 500 rose 0.8pct, and the Nasdaq added 0.4pct.
