Author Bonnie K Zablon writes...... STATE OF THE NATION...... Many people have been claiming we were not given a proper state of the nation but promises of what to expect. Here is the State of the Nation: 1. Since March 2013, the prices of essential goods have increased and out of reach of ordinary folks. Milk, sugar and bread are only affordable to the rich. 2. The security of ordinary mortals is not guaranteed and we have to be careful where we venture rest we are blown to kingdom-come by grenades or mowed down with guns by terrorists who are lurking out there. 3. A new crop of tin-gods calling themselves Governors are in town and introduced all manner of taxes, including dying tax, kuku eating tax, waganga and wachawi taxes. 4. Our worthy August House has passed a law that legalises men to go home with their female drinking partners to announce; Honey, since you no longer excite me, I have come home with Clara to help you in matters of..... Grrrrrrrrrrr........ ....and Sammy Mwatha adds: The campaign promises are still being thrown about one year later into govt!
