Author Lee Child in an interview said that he could not tolerate a hero who was inattentive for a moment that allowed himself to be knocked out from behind. I have to agree. I was so distressed when Liam Neesons character in the movie Taken was knocked out when he entered a hallway without looking to his left. How can a character be Gods gift to personal combat and not look to his left when entering a hostile location? Reacher doesnt do stupid stuff. Personal is another excellent Jack Reacher novel.
