Autism Friendly Swimming Lessons The PNC YMCA is piloting an Autism specific swim program this fall. This program is designed to allow students on the spectrum to become familiar with the water and develop water safety skills in a safe and quiet learning environment. These swimming sessions are targeted towards youth ages 6-10 years of age. We strongly encourage and welcome a parent and/or caregiver to join the student in the water to help develop and build confidence while they acquire water skills and develop body awareness. When: Sunday afternoons starting September 22nd and concluding November 12th. Where: PNC YMCA located in downtown Pittsburgh. Cost: $100 per student (financial aid is available). Free street parking. Registration: September 9th-22nd. Session slots are 30 minutes in length. Please contact Kari Caldwell for more information or for any questions you might have.
