AutoReqId 11714BR Job Title Membership Professional Business Function Professional Department SMA Billing/Recon Position Location Winston Salem Major Responsibilities Enroll members and maintain membership records (paper and electronic), including member additions, terminations, and changes for new and renewal groups for standard and some non-standard business. Process ancillary enrollments, handle priority requests and work reports of medium complexity. Is the contact for BCBSNC field staff, producers and/or customers. •Process new member enrollments, member change requests and terminations. May handle some non-standard enrollments. •Perform standard and medium complexity group level enrollment for health and ancillary products. •Maintain membership records, both paper and electronic. •Schedule the release of member ID cards, Member Guides, group contract(s) and invoices. •Administer eligibility of new, existing and renewal subscribers/members based on compliance with federal/state legislation, Insurance Department filings, Underwriting guidelines and group or individual contracts. •Process billing inquiries and reconciliation. Research billing errors and perform or initiate reverse transactions as necessary. •Research and respond to enrollment errors by telephone or in writing, communicate errors, corrective actions being taken, and/or policies and procedures being enacted. •Receive and place telephone calls to answer questions or obtain information relating to membership and enrollment, group/individual records, and group/individual contracts. Handle billing and enrollment inquiries from brokers, benefits administrators, and members. •Process back-end error reports not related to electronic enrollment. Requirements High school diploma or GED and 2 years of experience in data entry, accounting, billing, banking or customer service. Additional Critical Skills & Knowledge Needed for Job Prior experience with Power MHS, Billing, Magic, Service First, Seibel, and/or Mobius required.Prior experience with customer service in accounting, billing, banking or similar environment. Experience in health insurance field.
