**Available for Adoption!** A volunteer writes: As Im brainstorming to write about Xavier, I worry that everything I have to say about him is very generic. No special anecdotes to share, no hidden quirks discovered yet...how to do justice to this really good dog?? The first time I took him out I could only wonder what took me so long! He is always very quiet and patient in his cage, but is eager to make soft eye contact. He keeps his cage clean as long as he can, and goes quickly outside, so its likely he has some housetraining. He is incredibly cute - his tail often softly wagging, his eyes a beautiful greyish color and his coat wonderfully marked. Xavier could definitely use some TLC - he arrived with wounds on the tips of his ears and tail and is very underweight. Not surprisingly, he loves treats, but is not grabby or impolite. He is a perfect gentleman on the leash and always seems grateful and happy to be in the company of his person - we take walks together, not just two beings connected by a leash. Loose in the pen he doesnt show much interest in the tennis ball I throw, preferring instead to soak up affection and do some reserved zoomies. Whenever I put him back in his cage he licks my hands - he is incredibly sweet! Xavier is more than just a really good dog, but even that alone is something special! Could you be his person?? He would love to meet you at Brooklyn ACC!
