** Available for Adoption! ** A volunteer writes: Tame is a lovely elderly Lab gentleman who won my heart. He is waiting anxiously, motionless and silent in his arrival kennel. His blurred eyes are doing all the talking....I know that look for seeing it in my own dogs eyes when she wants something...Yes..we are going out. Tame is leashed without fuss and out we go to the street. He prances like a pony, trim and so elegant in his well groomed fawn coat. He sniffs a lot, marks his territory but meets other dogs in a very civil way. He is well behaved in playgroups with other pooches, males and females. He welcomes anyone coming to say hello, in the care center or on our walk. Tame has been around people and probably other dogs too. His tail was wagging happily when we neared a pack of kids coming out of church. Free in a pen, Tame chooses to stay near me. He is quite thin and very hungry. He will sit on command and for treats. He does not mind me trying to embellish him with a scarf...Tame is a lover... A great lap dog who loves to cuddle in my arms and be kissed. I know Tame is an older dog but like we say in French: it is in the old pots that we make the best meals.. Tame, I know, would make a wonderful companion. It is just a matter to give him a chance, chance to shine again as your forever best friend… A Volunteer Wrote: The intake desk channeled the truth of this wonderful dog when they tagged him with his moniker. What a gentle, kind, dear boy. He lies quietly in his kennel, waiting his turn to go out, and even when passing dogs bark at him he just looks up sweetly and then goes back to sleep. But get him out for a walk and he lights up, with a puppyish enthusiasm and affection as he showers his walker with gratitude and love. If you are looking for a dog who requires nothing more than love and companionship, who will be delighted to go on long walks with you (hes a dream on a leash) or just hang on the couch, look no further. We have found your dog! Lucky Tame, lucky you. Wasnt that easy? Please, let it be so for him!
