Avengers: Age of Ultron’ Toys Give Detailed Looks at New - TopicsExpress

Avengers: Age of Ultron’ Toys Give Detailed Looks at New Costumes Next year sees the release of quite a few hotly anticipated tentpoles, including The Avengers: Age of Ultron opening in May; and calling audiences expectations high for this follow up to the billion-dollar-grossing Avengers would be putting things mildly. When the first footage from Age of Ultron leaked online – and was quickly followed by an official release from Marvel – it broke the internet. After that, Marvel still made an event of their Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. time slot by re-airing the trailer with bonus footage, and fans just ate it up. There was a lot in those trailers to be excited about (check out our frame by frame analysis) but without a doubt, what pumped fans up the most was the unveiling of Tony Stark’s Hulkbuster armor. The Hulkbuster armor is one of many new looks The Avengers will sport throughout Age of Ultron, and it’s by far the most impressive. Though, the Hulkbuster is more of a special occasion suit – like when Tony needs to battle the Hulk, as its name and the trailers suggest – and throughout Age of Ultron he’ll wear a more modest looking suit, the Mark XLIII. We got an up close look at the Mark XLIII armor earlier this week thanks to images of Hot Toys’ upcoming “movie-accurate” collectible figurine, and that trend of toys offering wonderfully detailed glimpses at new costumes for Age of Ultron continues with the Toy Soul 2014 expo going on this week in Hong Kong. Hot Toys brought the whole line-up to this expo: Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye, Black Widow, and of course, that Hulkbuster. Hong Kong-based website Toy People (via JoBlo) snapped these shots of Hot Toy’s impeccably detailed Age of Ultron line. Check them out at the link! - Click Here for Hot Toys’ Avengers: Age of Ultron Collectibles - Again, the obvious standout out here is the Hulkbuster armor, and this new figurine provides us the best look yet at its intricate design. There appear to be quite a few moving parts, making this an impressive addition to anyone’s collection, but best of all we can get a clear look at the heavy-duty reinforcements Stark needed for this suit to withstand the Hulk. For the most part, Thor and Cap haven’t had their appearances changed a whole lot since we saw them last in their respective sequels. Hulk is well… the Hulk, but it does look like he may have a new pair of shorts for Age of Ultron. As for Iron Man, the version of the Mark XLIII on display at Toy Soul 2014 is a little different from the figurine Hot Toys SHARED a few days ago, and features a more under the hood look.Getting the most drastically different costume for Age of Ultron is Hawkeye, in that he appears to be getting multiple new outfits. Above is an image from the trailer that shows Jeremy Renner in what we presume is Hawkeye’s winter weather gear, and the new Hot Toys figure has him in the same outfit. Take note of a couple of neat, hidden details, like a boot-mounted launcher for smaller, dart-like arrows. Lastly, Widow’s costume has seen a few updates as well, including a new set of deadly looking bracers and blue piping throughout her suit that may or may not serve some sort of electrical function in addition to just being eye-catching. New gear or not, Black Widow looks as badass as ever. What other details do you notice in The Avenger’s new outfits? Who has the best new look? And just how pumped are you to see the Hulkbuster in action? Sound off in the comments below!
