Avishai Moor, Sainsbury’s head of fuel, said: “We know that Christmas can be an expensive time of year, that’s why we’re dropping the price of unleaded petrol by 2ppl and diesel by 1ppl at all our petrol stations from tomorrow. This is another way in which we can offer our customers real value for money when they fill up with Sainsbury’s.” Meanwhile...... John Smith, the owner of a small independent service station in Neath, South Wales was heard to utter the words... Total rubbish!! The global wholesale fuel price has plummeted and we have now reduced the price of our unleaded fuel 3 times in 2 days! The supermarkets are merely reducing their prices in line with the wholesale drops. Morrisons and Sainsbury are dropping their prices tomorrow, we have already passed on our saving to the customer by dropping today. Keep it local, Mile End supports Neath :-)
