Awaiting in the ED to be admitted for aspiration pneumonia. No room available on the TCC floor (trach/complex care) so they are trying to figure our where to put her. Too complex for regular Pediatric floor. Every time we are put on the regular floor shes moved within an hour due to her breath holding/pass out episodes plus without a diagnoses label and a trach they are too nervous to keep her. So the wait continues for which team (pulmonary/ENT/???) will take her on. This is where not having a diagnosis makes things complicated. She has been started on 2 IV antibiotics that will cover pneumonia while we wait for cultures to grow to know which specific antibiotic to use. This cant be determined for 24-48 hours. They were able to get IV access on 2nd attempt. All blood work looks really good. She doing well overall. Ill update when I know more. Love you all!
