Awake EKSU foot soldiers; Our Vice Chancellor must obey. And of the greatest Nigerian Students!!! Combatant greetings to all the seen and unseen spirits of our great and beloved citadel of learning,Ekiti State university(EKSU). I am ceasing this medium to alert you on some critical issues and problems facing our beloved students which has required adequate and quick solution before it gets out of hand. As a student of a properly nurtured and well oriented comradic background, I have been told and taught that the welfare and well- being of Nigerian students should be my first priority, more also I believe in the saying that to whom much is given, much is also expected. Even if we dont have much in return, we will do the little we can to sustain and standardise our environment in other for our students to have a good and encouraging study environment. It got to my notice few hours ago the manner at which the vice chancellor of Ekiti State University Prof.Oladipupo Aina has been maltreating both student and lecturers on campus, for christ sake tell me the joy of a lecturer that does not get his or her salary for 3 months???. Tell me the joy of a poor student, whose parent were forced to pay a huge sum of over #120,000 as school fees and yet did not receive lecture, all because the vice chancellor refused to approve payment of lecturers salary. And of the greatest Nigerian students,it is time for us to come together as a resolute body to fight this mans unkind attitude to mankind, let us join our lecturers to agitate for their salary, not forgetting the fact that some of our parents are also lecturing,as such where did Prof Oladipupo Aina want them to get money for our registration and school fees when he refuse to pay their salary. The former Governor of Ekiti state H.E Dr Kayode Fayemi said it point blank that he has reduced our school fees, that it is left for the management to execute it,why is this man Prof.Oladipupo Aina against the reduction of our school fees???. Barely few months to the end of his administration, our Prof is renovating all buildings in the school premises for a huge amount of money,is the VC not aware that there are buildings that needs renovation before now???,what is the essence of the renovation when our lecturers are on strike???,who will use the building when we dont have access to lectures???. At this junction O specimen K,I charge all unarmed Aluta Forces in EKSU and Nigeria to join us in the 5,000 man march against this inhuman VC on monday 10th Nov 2014,if he refuses to yield to the under listed demands: Our Demands: 1. That the Vice Chancellor should pay all EKSU workers on or before the afore mentioned date,10th Nov 2014. 2. That the huge acceptance fee placed on all 100L students be reduce by 50%,and all those who have paid be refunded their 50% balance with immediate effect. 3. That the official letter of the reduction of school fees to #50,000 sent to him by the Ex- Governor Dr Kayode Fayemi should be acknowledged and the reduction should take effect immediately. 4. That the VC should before the afore mentioned date, tender apologise to all EKSU workers for the maltreatment,on at least 2 national dailies. 5. That the VC should account for EKSU school fees and other dues fraudulently collected from our poor students. 6. That EKSU student should not pay more than #50,000 as tuition or school fees,as the case may be. 7. That all victimised students of EKSU be released. Aina is hereby advised accordingly, because, failure to comply to the above-stated conditions shall attract the invitation of not lesser than 5,000 corrosive and kogbagbere students in a massive showdown. A word is enough for the wise! Dare to struggle, dare to win: Aluta Continua, Victoria Ascerta!!! Com Famuyibo Oluwasegun NANS Deputy Senate President(Elect).
