Away from the International scene yesterday there was a small but very competitive field at the Station Open triples in Knebworth. A Glorious sunny day greeted all the teams and after a 3 round snake in the morning to find the top 8 seeded teams there was a Main and Plate Knockout. In the main quarter finals there was some top notch matches which saw El Hombres defeat The Bell, Tractor Boys defeat Shooting Sleepers, Vertigo defeat Southern Comfort and Rejects defeat Yeah but Obut! The semi finals didnt dissappoint the crowd gathered watching (thanks to all the supporters yesterday) Some excellent pointing and shooting from all 4 teams saw Tractor Boys defeat El Hombres 13-11 and Rejects defeat Vertigo 13-10 ... There was then a 3rd/4th play off and Final played at same time and El Hombres defeated Vertigo 13-7 to finish 3rd and in the Final a awesome display of lead pointing by Tractor Boys and backed up by top class shooting saw them defeat a shell shocked Rejects 13-0 , It has to be said that the Rejects played tremendous allday but just seemed to run out of steam in the Final.
