I was in Wegmans yesterday in Williamsport and suddenly found myself in the Gluten Free section and couldnt help but notice it was barren of perusers in a relatively crowded store. Ive been hearing the, is this gluten free? for about two years now and Im wondering if the Gluten Free epoch is finally gasping for relevancy. It was just a year ago I was telling people in Whole Foods that, in five years most people will be struggling to remember what that g word was we were all supposed to be so afraid of. But such a dramatic turnaround in such a short amount of time? Are people finally seeing that the so-called healthy gluten free alternatives on the store shelves are even more toxic than factory emitted wheat based products? Or was there never any real research that clinically linked gluten to toxicity for anyone not diagnosed celiac?
