Awesome God- Thank You for the laughter and joy on this adventure. Thank You for the tools to overcome misery. You are my blood and my hope. I used to talk about God a lot but I never really had much faith in Him. I would talk about how He had done wonderful things for me but I was sure He had better things to do than manage my life. Or maybe I thought He was not powerful enough to manage all of our lives together! The first thing I had to do to have faith was to realize that not having faith was not working very well! If I had been happy and was living worry free then I might not have made the effort to start trusting God more. That was like early sobriety when I first came to realize that there was a God but I wasn’t it! There is little a man can do for those that don’t need help. Need brings with it an open mind. Satisfaction tends to keep it closed. I needed change in my life so I became open to trying this “God” thing out. The results were so amazing I kept thinking what if I gave Him a little more, and more, and so on. Today, I love my life. I am satisfied. I know, however, that there is more than this. I know that even more faith is possible. I know that in spite of my peaceful existence that it gets even better. Remind me, Lord, that You have no boundaries in which You work. Help me to see how little faith it took to fix my broken life. I pray for those that don’t know what they are missing; that they may find a part of their life they can try to trust God with and let it go. Amen.
