Awesome!!!!! Last week, the United States Senate adopted Senate Resolution 506 recognizing the patriotism and contributions of auxiliaries of veterans service organizations. Earlier this year, then ALA National President Nancy Brown-Park met with Senator Barbara Boxer from Nancy’s home state of California. In discussing the impact of the American Legion Auxiliary on the quality of life for veterans, Nancy commented on the lack of recognition that auxiliaries to veterans service organizations receive for all the behind-the-scenes work we do. Senator Boxer (CA) was joined by Senator Dan Coats (IN), Senator Dianne Feinstein (CA), and Senator Richard Burr (NC) in sponsoring the resolution recognizing VSO auxiliaries adopted by the US Senate.
