Awesome. Love this song. As I was driving home tonight, I heard Rod Stewarts song and couldnt have thought of any better timing. I havent heard in awhile. It was (& has been) a song to Pastor Jack. Some might get a kick out of that, haha, but I CANT EXPLAIN IT ... how God breathed it in my spirit, (beyond my reasoning) that it IS still a special dedication (knowing where God knows how to speak to me BEST, thru song), to Pastor Jack. He had been my overseer, a shepherd and covering in my life for so long, as Senior Pastor @COTW. It SHOWS ME, Gods HEART as well. Its God who places things inside, who SPEAKS to our innermost beings, who MOVES us forward in Him. And GOD KNOWS, Pastor Jack has been a man (as pastor / shepherd) TO BE HONORED. ; ) I have no explanation or apology, ha ha... only that JESUS SETS YOUR HEART FREE. And my longstanding attendance, & servant-leader there ... under PJs care is an ACKNOWLEDGEMENT BY GOD. HA HA. I think HE has an interesting sense of humor to things. As well as reverence, too. I have the utmost appreciation, love and respect to Pastor Jack there. Ive learned AMAZING things from God in situations (from leadership times), and one big part (in maturity) is accepting our leaders, though God never ... how can I put this how I mean it, delicately, with sensitivity, our leaders ARE HUMAN! THERE, I put it down (that way), and IF people began to WORSHIP OTHERS & ESPECIALLY, LEADERS .. . the fault and danger to it will be EXPOSED. God is THE ONLY ONE TO TAKE FIRST PLACE IN ONES HEART. HE IS A MASSIVELY JEALOUSY GOD. So, Ive GROWN ENOUGH in Gods trials, to realize TO BEND IN GRACE TOWARD THOSE LEADERS (even in those frailties) that GOD PLACED THOSE LEADERS IN YOUR LIFE~ TO GIVE THEM HONOR WHERE HONOR IS DUE. The beauty is in ACCEPTANCE (of even tough things by any others, as example) WHERE GOD HAS PLACED OTHERS IN YOUR LIFE.~ PASTORS, PARENTS, HUSBANDS/WIFES, FRIENDS, TEACHERS .. The GOOD should ... WAAAY OUTSHINE the opposite. I just know GOD gave me a SONG, long ago, with Jack Hayfords name tag on it. Of being the BRILLIANT man of God Hes been designed to be ... pastoring a church for many years in dignity. God has surely LOVED, COTW ... Hes not through with it yet. But this isnt about that, its a good reminder by Jesus towards Pastor Jack. Have I Told You Lately? Im telling it now (again). Its a LOVE SONG on another level. ; ) Jesuss pure description, THERES A LOVE THATS DIVINE, ITS YOURS & ITS MINE ... LIKE THE SUN (SON). Worshipping in COMMON PURPOSE TOWARDS THE ONE WHO MADE US. IF WE COULD HEAR GODS HEARTBEAT AND MOVE AS A CHURCH, AS A BODY OF BELIEVERS IN COMMON PURPOSE, ALLOWING FORGIVENESS, ACCEPTING UNIQUENESS ... WORKING WITH FRAILTIES, BELIEVING FOR GODS BEST TOWARDS WHO GOD HAS USED AND PUT BEFORE YOU AND AROUND YOU ...GIVING RESPECT WHERE RESPECT IS DUE. GOD WILL NEVER EVER BLESS YOU, IF YOU DEVIATE FROM THESE LAWS. YOU CAN SEEK AND FIND YOUR OWN BLESSING, BUT IT WONT BE THE AUTHENTIC KIND.; ) HOW UNITY WOULD BE SO POWERFUL TO TAKE OVER ALL THE wicked unity, to be had in this present darkness in the world today ... (or forget that, try on for size, just your home, family, relatives, friends, employers, church for now). Goodnight.
