Awesome day yesterday! No pictures...just memories in my head :) We went to a wedding in the church at Plaza de Matriz. Wow for those in Cotacachi it is very beautiful and worth a look. Mixed feelings as I walked around inside before the wedding. The Catholic Church was responsible for much suffering here in Ecuadors history. Beautiful wedding! I was amazed at the mix of people and the tranquility. Even the wedding dance in the front of the church was quiet and very sweet. Later we went to the party in our near by community El Batan. Lots of food! Two soups. One of chicken, potatoes, and broth and another with hominy. Then came the main course of roasted pork and rice. Beautiful cake, a great MC and band. We came home early and heard the band play all night :) Two more nights of music., I wish Jairo and his bride a lifetime of happiness!
