Awesome first trip up the Gold Fork River My daughter and I just returned from our first exploration of the Gold Fork River Valley. A beautiful place (photo’s will follow) that has a diverse use pattern, farming, free range cattle, a wonderful hot springs and a river valley that deepens as you go up river. There are remnants of logging and primitive campsites along the river. My daughter found a cluster of caterpillars, that my older son says will turn into moths. After much dissension today at the motel, the drive was relaxing and the photography opportunities abounded. Chloe lost interest after about 2 hours, but I could have stayed for weeks or months. In all we drove only about 25 miles on the three hour outing. I will go back soon!
