Awka - The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has asked the Inspector General of Police (IG), to compel the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) to desist from using APGA’s logo to campaign for President Goodluck Jonathan’s second term bid, reports ThisDay. The party equally wants the IG, Sulieman Abba ,to stop APGA from printing the President’s campaign posters with the APGA flags and logo. Ken Emeakayi, Anambra State’s PDP chairman said it was wrong for APGA to be campaigning with the logo and pictures of another political party’s candidate. He said APGA’s actions is capable of nullifying the electoral chances of the President as a PDP candidate in the 2015 presidential elections, because the act contravenes Section 37 of the Electoral Act. He noted that if the party wants to support President Jonathan, it can do it, but not to print the President’s picture with its logo.
