Awo staffu Toyin o, e keniola, Eniola moki e o, omo won loluyole, toju staffu Lawali omo onile owo. Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde Barrister in his vol 6 Album titled Itan Ismaila released in 1975 mentioned staff sergeant Oluwatoyin Ayinla Eniola alongside other military colleagues. Sergeant Eniola nicknamed Samanja by his friends because of his bushy moustache is the one standing on the left in this picture. He was a very close pal of SAB in the military. It was a case of two young Ibadan lads who have grown up as friends. They both went to the Biafra war together and after the war, they were both moved to armed forces resettlement center, cappa Oshodi under the then Major Muraino Oshodi. While SAB discharged from the military in 1976 as a full sergeant, his friend continued until 1980 and rose to the rank of W02. One of his daughters Omowunmi Eniola a member of this group told me, My father loved SAB so much and he made me and my siblings love him and his music too he was deeply saddened to learn of the death of Ayinde Barrister in Dec 2010 as he remembers with great warmth their time together as youths fighting for their fatherland. Sadly Warrant Officer 2 Oluwatoyin Ibidayo Ayinla Eniola also departed this sinful world on 2nd February 2013 at the age of 63. May the souls of the two friends continue to rest in peace.
