Aya often spoke on the importance of gratitude. He reminded those around him every day, that with life all things are possible. He never believed in being sad. One of his favorite quotes were, Never let the sad things get you down. Aya was full of life. His presence radiated wherever he went. One of his favorite songs by Beres Hammond says, Im giving thanks for all Ive got.... I remember hearing him sing this song during his battle with lung cancer.
