Ayahuasqueros are a dime a dozen, new ones everyday. And most of them are imposters, most of them that are working in lodges now are fakes. A Shaman is a rare human, not that many go around. With the boom in ayahuasca here, the lodges will hire imposters and they have no idea who they are, really. They can come in the form of a beautiful painted robe and call theirselves Shipibo, they can come in humble ways that you will have to accept, cause we were raised to accept people as how they present their selves, right? We lean to the positive, until we know, absolutely, that they are not. Unfortunately, your lean can cost you. You wind up believing what is presented and you buy land, build a camp and when it is all done, you get screwed. Then youi know. You should have come to us who have been here, seen it happen so many times, but you dont. Sad. There are excellent healers here, have always been, but the more the tourists come, the more fake charlatans will appear and the more you will be screwed. Wake up call.
