Ayr Tournament Plate Final Result-Ksc Colts 4 Cumnock 3. Guys,what a great way to finish our 1st season at 11-a-side This season has been better than i expected,i wasn,t looking to win the league it was more important to find out how you would handle the change from wee boys 7s to the big boys 11s. I and the other coaches didn,t need to worry as you adapted brilliantly.At the start of the season we won our own Ksc Tournament which gave as all a lift winning some silverware. I have had time to reflect on the season and as i looked at the league table i see that it is a false position for us as we really should have been challenging for the league.Every game this season possibly apart from Crosshouse we dominated and should have won in my opinion,the list of games we should have won and won comfortably,E.g,Bonnyton at home should have won beaton last kick of the ball,Hurlford played them off the park lost 3-2 West Kilbride played them off the park drew 1-1 Tass utd beat 2-1 totally dominated 2nd half,that is some of the games we should and could have won by 2,3,4 goals but down to really poor finishing and defending we found ourselves on the end of defeats.CYP cup semi v Galston another game dominated every minute lost 3-2 at the weekend in the Ayr tournament battered Bonnyton lost 2-0 then go and skelp Cumnock in the group game 3-1 could have been more should have beat Tri star but i will take blame for that,get through to plate semi where again played Dalziel where we should have quite easily won 7-8 but drew 2-2 before going into the final after winning a penalty shoot out 4-3.Final against Cumnock again winning the hard way up 4-1 again should have been more give away a penalty get a man sent off to put us under pressure in the last 10 mins,but manage to hang in and win 4-3. I and the other coaches Stephen,Ian and Barry are proud of all of you for having a great season after most you of who were at Irvine Vics since you were 5 years old to be told you weren,t wanted and to deal with that rejection and push on and win not 1 but 2 trophys in you 1st season you should all be proud of yourselves.Now that the season has finished all of you might find other teams will come in and try and get you for next year but i really would like all of you to come back in pre season so we can have a right go at winning the league your now becoming teenagers(young men) so you wont be getting it easy, so i would like to thank all of the players involved in the season even the ones that left as they played there part as well-Logan Pipe,Dan Watson,Mark Turnbull,Clark Spence,Brian Shepley,Benji Skeoch,Sean Crancher Reece Kerr,Wullie Nelson,Ants Monaghan,Ciaran Rocks Carson Gibson,Ong Duff,Ewan Campbell,Calum Dickson Sean Harvey Keigan Lewis Luke Moore,Kyle Anderson,David Griffins,Decky Oliver,Jason Maitland,Charlie Watt and also Paul Campbell one of the original coaches who left to take a younger age group,thanks for all your efforts.To all the boys that finished the season i will be in touch with details for pre season so enjoy your time off because next season 14-15 will be a big one Cmonthecolts
