Azaleas bloom during winter months and their flowers can often last several weeks. They prefer bright light places with low temperatures (no more than 15 maximally 17oc). Azaleas are quite slow-growing and do best in well-drained acidic soil (4.5–6.0 pH). Fertilizer needs are low; some species need regular pruning to keep their shape.
