Azaria is really a testament to the power of love, positive vibes and prayers. Her surgeon just came in to talk to us and to look at her wound. He said the wound does not look bad at all and that it doesnt look like something that would warrant a hardware removal!! Of course, he wont know for sure until he goes in, but at first glance he said it appears to be an easy clean up. Honestly, I think he was expecting it to look much worse. He didnt say what infection? as I was hoping he would, but he did seem surprised that it wasnt as bad as he thought it would be. Azaria looks great today. She appears to be back to her normal. Ana, Dr Cs assistant came to see her and she said Azaria looks WAY better. Ana said to keep in mind that the infection may not be or have started in her back and could be something entirely different, we wont know until they get all labs and cultures back. For now, we are feeling very hopeful. Its just incredible that on Sunday she was so sick, she was septic, and we almost lost her. Now today she is looking great. I believe with all my heart your prayers and positive vibes are what have kept her here along with our decision to get her to CHOP immediately, and of course, her own strength and will. Please keep those prayers coming, she will go back to surgery sometime today and we want her to feel loved, safe, and for the surgery to go smoothly with no complications and minimal pain. Azaria is our Warrior Girl!! Her strength and resilience never cease to amaze us.
