Gate As firecrackers blast And do color sky On Independence Day The 4th of July Think of those heroes Who did stand so tall So we could be free They fought and did fall Do remember them It’s their holiday Liberties we have now Are from patriots’ days Fears Copyright 2013 B.J. Gate My eyes have witnessed Things they shouldn’t seen I’ve tread the hard path Paved with many fiends Danger all around Still bravely I stood Facing adversary On the trail of spilled blood The fears that I had I did put away But they all returned On my dying day We Live Copyright 2013 B.J. Gate For all those today And the ones to come I have fought the cause I fought for freedom So liberty lives on I have risked my all With knowing always Yes, that I might fall For rights, for justice For democracy I do march pass sight Beyond any sees Though some think I’ve died Truly, I have not The brave fallen, we live Let it not be forgot
