B bender Telecaster chronicles... a few months ago, this guitar told me that I needed to do some rehearsing and come back Yesterday I soldered a 52 reissue pickup in, put the bridge back on, and changed the middle pickup cover to a black one. Not sure if I like the 52 pickup, and have a Glendale bridge that I want to try again. I need to investigate, but this axe might need to be rewired like a straight 2 pickup / 3 way switch to suit me properly. I think there is something about the tone direct (our whatever it is called) that sounds weird... like scooped mids in all pickup positions. I hope that all this wrestling pays off!
