B3N vs Qut.....Its going to be a tough year and we were slow out of the blocks....sent in and bowled out for 101. Wiggy held it together with 30 but a bit under par. Qut..( their Second side so a bit of talent! ) got to 4/96 first day....we bowled well and disciplined but were unlucky! Day 2...with three players late and going in one short ( yeah I know but looked after Cookie! ) we kicked ass and took 6 for like 30! Fielding was incredible and bowlers hit their lines and lengths and I dont think we gave up a boundary! Only four wides for the innings....a great effort! So....we needed to bat all day and deny them the outright and we stuck to our guns! I got a twenty odd....new guy Alistair got twenty odd , Dan Elkins late got a good twenty odd and Robbie Graham batted well with everyone hitting an innings high 40! Lots of new guys but after a poor start we really truly put in and was left wondering about a couple of more runs in the first innings but that is cricket... Finished up 9 all out for 194!!!.Signs looking great for the season with some old heads and some good new talent! Go the Cobras! Paul.
