BA NKANA THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICES TO THE TEAM IN 2014. As a supporter, I thank you for your efforts despite suffering the depressing departure of Coach Massy on 23rd May, 2014. Guys, your exploits, particularly in CAF competitions were commendable. I, like many other supporters, enjoyed every bit of it while it lasted. In the league, the most memorable victories were the 1-0 victory against Warriors in Kabwe, the 2-1 victory against ZANACO in Lusaka & the 2-1 victory against Power at ADL. LAST SATURDAY, MANY OF US POURNED SCORN ON YOU for that humiliating defeat at the hands of ZESCO. Many of us, when you were making efforts to reverse the result, just watched casually without giving you the LOUD boost that you needed to push for victory. I personally cursed some of you. But hey, recently Brazil lost 7-1 to German. At 2012 Euro, ten-man Italy suffered a 4-0 defeat in the final against Spain. In 1994, a month after the AFCON, Zambia suffered a 9-0 loss to Belgium. Its football, a game of chance & luck but also a game whose results are determined by the preparations teams make. For now, relax. Take time to plan your private investments while preparing for festive season celebrations with friends & family. Contemplate clear personal & club targets for 2015. For those of you who will be representing the club & the nation at the 2015 AFCON, remember - favour umuyayaya. Balumendo work hard to match the quality & class which you will encounter in Equatorial Guinea. For the league, your targets should be to pick 40 points by mid-season & an additional 26 to total 66 points by the end of the season. There should be a clear & robust individual & club strategies for the league & any cup competitions, invitational or scheduled. TO MY FELLOW SUPPORTERS, I say let’s pat ourselves on the back for whatever measure of support given to the team. Friends, thank you for the respectable send-off of a friend & team mentor - Coach Massy. Thank you for the solidarity shown to our players at the national team. Thank you for making sure that you paid your way each time the team was playing at home to ensure that the club has a healthy balance sheet. Thank you for warmly welcoming me & my friends each time I travelled to Kitwe to watch my team. To the players, I say thank you for the numerous calls & exchanges we shared on life and sport. To the technical bench, I thank you for allowing me to visit the camp whether playing in Choma, Lusaka, or Kitwe. NKANA PLAYERS & TECHNICAL BENCH, I thank you for every effort you made to record success in 2014. In future, we need to have a pure strategy on how to handle success so that we avoid the trend of losing today, winning tomorrow, losing the other day & so on. The admin should also consider engaging a player psychologist to ensure that certain games are won without contention. We lost too many games at home. Yes it was depressing, but that should be a stepping stone to better performance in future. FOR NOW, RELAX BECAUSE IT SHALL BE WELL IN 2015!
