BACK TO THE SOUNDS OF PHILADELPHIA (TSOP) The ILLUSIONS - “Hey Boy” This was the A side and the B side was titled Lonely Soldier. Both sides became regional hits produced on the Mali Records label for The Illusions, a Doo Wop group from the Fishtown section of Philly. Lead Fred Jones had another regional hit later when he co-wrote, did the arrangement for and was the lead singer for Funky Judge on the Crimson Records label as a member of The Common Pleas in the late 1960s and early 1970s. ****************************************************
