BACK TO THE YU-GI-OH! There are a lot of things happening this month with the game. This coming weekend is the North America World Championship Qualifier (WCQ) that is hosted up in Detroit. To all the players that have earned their invite, and are going, best of luck to you. Those going just to have a good time or trying your luck in the Last Chance Qualifiers (LCQs), enjoy yourselves and good luck too! The Monday following crowning our 2014 WCQ champion, the new Forbidden & Limited list goes into effect. Not many changes, but what do you think they mean to the meta? Geargia took a huge hit with Geargiagear to 1, but Noble Knights took a huge boost with not only a second Reinforcement of the Army to their tutoring arsenal, but access to the best level 6 Synchro in the game with the removal of the forbidden status of Goyo Guardian! What changes do you like or dislike about this list? But before all that, the face of Yu-Gi-Oh! changes drastically. This coming Friday is the set release of the 2014 Super Starter: Space-Time Showdown. This Super Starter not only gives us access to the new summoning mechanic, Pendulum Summoning and modifying the playing field with new Pendulum Zones, but it also changes the face of the game with modifying the rules that we have been use to for so many years. Those who goes first does not draw a sixth card. Which do you think is more important now? Going first to establish a field quicker? Or going second and having that extra card in your hand for more answers and options? Also, we no longer have field spell wars. With the release of the Super Structure, both players are now allowed to have their own field spell in play at the same time. How does this affect your deck or how you answer what your opponent does? A lot going on in the game and were just a little over a month away from the new booster set: Duelist Alliance! Shit, people. This game may actually start interesting me again.
