BADMINTON Srikanth wins Thailand Open Indian badminton welcomed its newest star as a little-known K. Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina of Russia defeated the defending champions Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci of France to win the women’s doubles title. Lucie Hradecká and František Cermák of Czech Republic won the mixed doubles title, defeating Kristina Mladenovic and Daniel Nestor in the final.
