BALTIMORE FANS AND THEIR TEAMS : I was at Game Two of the ALDS and the fans were electric. It felt like a Ravens Game with the passion and the intensity of every play. When Delman Young sliced the double down the line and J.J. Hardy pulled off a slide for the winning run, people were jumping up and down and slapping hands with everybody around them. We get that at M&T Bank, and it is great to have that excitement at OPCY. The city had an Orange glow and a Balck-And-Orange Bird Fever. The Fans support a team that plays hard, hangs in there until the end and chooses not to fold up and go home early. They want players who do not just collect a paycheck and who expect to contribute, even if they are the 25th (or 53rd) member of the roster. We have two men as head coach/manager who preach TEAM/TEAM/TEAM, and who focus on (as Buck says) being Brilliant at the Basics. Baltimore Fans want hard-chargers and lunch-pail players. When you field a team like that, you will get everything from deep down from the fans. Sunday, lets hope for a football win against the Irsays and a Series Win against the Tigers !!! GO BALTIMORE !!!
