BALUFON DANCE AT THE VILLAGE SQUARE Former Governor of Ogun - TopicsExpress

BALUFON DANCE AT THE VILLAGE SQUARE Former Governor of Ogun State and APC national leader, Akinrogun Olusegun Osobas faceoff with Sen Ibikunle Amosun, Ogun State Governor, is not anything personal but that of collective interest of Ogun people. If it were of monetary or material value, Osoba wouldnt have gone this far. He would av jettisoned the interest of his loyalists and Ogun people at large. Amosun himself confirmed this when he said that he had done all things humanly possible to buy his conscience but to no avail. Unlike Nigerian human rice (right) activists, Osoba doesnt have a price tag. He is not cheap. He is a man of integrity. Osobas anger and disenchantment centers around the inefficiency and shenanigans going on in Ogun State. Akinrogun frowns at the unprecedented pervasive corruption and culture of impunity prominent in this government. He abhors greatly the unfair treatment meted out to original ACN members (now APC) who have been turned to slaves in their fathers house. He sees destruction, unwarranted demolition, joblessness, pains, lamentations, disappointments, vendetta, hooliganism, violence, thuggery, insecurity, scrappings, pains, lies, propaganda and bitterness everywhere. Disillusioned, Osoba wonders whether this was the same state he governed between 1999-2003. To Osoba, all these and many more are simply untenable, ridiculous and unacceptable. As a matter of fact, I am of the conviction that the powers that be in Ogun State, already jittery and living in mortal fear of being booted out in 2015, are determined to rubbish Osoba and put him out of political circulation. To confirm the determination of Amosun to rubbish Osoba, the governor has commissioned some court paid jesters to desperately malign, impugn, and disparage the person, image, character and reputation of Chief Osoba both in the print and social media. It is clear that Amosun is not thinking of the import of his actions and insult on Aremo. Anyway, the agbalagbas say won o ni ki omode maa dete, to ba ti le da igbo gbe.Unfortunately, Osoba seems not distracted from his goal to rescue Ogun people from retrogression nor bothered about the naked dance of Mr Governor and his castrated jesters. But they have failed. Osoba, an illustrious son of Oduduwa, a lover of Yoruba unity, remains an omoluabi whose leadership cannot be rubbished or called to question. Won kere si nomba. I urge Akinrogun to remain steadfast in the pursuit of truth, transparency and good governance in Ogun State. Posterity will surely favour him.
