BAN THE BURKA. I dont even know why there is a question over this? Australians are NOT allowed to cover their face in public so that they can be identified, yet Muslims can? If we went over there we would be expected to dress accordingly, Id like to see what would happen if our Aussie girls walked down the main st of Afghanistan or even Dubai wearing a bikini and some short shorts! Typical Aussie summer dress but never the less youd be shot on the street or raped! Go over there and try to build a Catholic Church! Youd be killed! We allow freedoms in religion and all other areas of life, if we as Aussies need to abide by and follow set dress rules and cant cover our faces in our country then everyone should have to follow those. Dont come here and demand the freedoms of Australia and then expect to demand particulars of the home country that you came here to get away from! It cant work like that. We celebrate Xmas here and Easter and let out kids believe in Santa and sing Xmas carols! Yet how many kinder gardens and primary schools have stopped this festivities because of complaints from parents from foreign countries where these traditions are not practiced!!!! Im in no way racist, I just believe in a fair system for all . Dont go in to a country and think you can dictate its freedoms to suit you and have everyone accept it! Really getting sick of this religious bullshit thats wrecking our country!
