BANK ROBBERY The Cheltenham Police along with the FBI are investigating a bank robbery that occurred on Friday December 26, 2014 at 12:32pm. The robbery occurred at the PNC Bank located at 101 S. Easton Rd in the Glenside section of Cheltenham Township. On above date and time Cheltenham Police were dispatched to the above location for a bank robbery. The suspect approached the teller and presented a demand note. The suspect told the teller to not make any noise or sudden movements and that he had a gun. The suspect then fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash, north on Easton Rd. An area check by CTPD and K-9 was negative. Suspect info: Black male, 30-40 years old, 5’8-5’11 inches tall, wearing a dark blue puffy vest, black skull type winter hat, small frame glasses, grey sweatpants and white sneakers. This suspect also walks with a noticeable gait. This suspect appears to be the same serial bank robber who attempted to rob the Wells Fargo bank at 11:00 am earlier today, located at 1575 N. 52nd St in Philadelphia. This suspect also appears to be responsible for robbing 4 other banks and an attempt on another in Philadelphia beginning on December 11, 2014.
