BANKING EXPOSED PART 1V Thanks people for all the contributions. This piece on banking LIKE MANY OTHER PIECES has been burning in my heart since. I did not know I was going to stir the bees hornets. I have got encouragement from the most unlikely quarters. It is amazing. I will yet do a compact piece for publication. Thank you Ike Anya. Is somebody saying something very very good at last? You see the more the working conditions got worse, the more I told myself that I had to make it and leave here ALIVE. I began to also look at my children with love and pity. Will I allow them live life like me doing a depressing job because I made a wrong career choice. So for those you who dont understand the origin of the blossoming of all my childrens careers at this innocent age, this is it. I want them to be successful, live the life they want, fly around the world and not be caught in the wickedness of banking jobs. I dont want them to have the life of a marketer sourcing for loans and deposits or being made miserable in the office because somebody felt they did them a favoûr by not throwing them intommarketing. Marketing dept ( being sent to marketing with huge impossiblebtargets seem to be a fitting punishment for non-conformist (staff).) Laugh if you want to. I wrote as a therapy. After the abuse would have rained on me mercilessly by sometimes those lesser than you in quality and academics or other criteria, I will just write and write and write. You know as a boss you understand the intrigues. During presentations in the several meetings you want to stand out so you harass your staff to give you the best paper. Some will shout, some will abuse, curse anything to get the yes I remember the name REPORT. Then you proudly read it, sign it (like you wrote it) and take it in for the several strategy sessions or those time wasting meetings. You are applauded. For the decent ones with shame, they will apologize lamely. Go and buy drinks or suya. That is what apology means to them. For the I dont care ones who are thinking why should I apologize, they will bone and behave like nothing positive happened or have the temerity to point out a flaw. Did you not see that this man is now a GM instead of DGM. And woe betide you if they tell them the REPORT was terrible. Be ready for more battery. The Bank made me write late into the night even as sometimes the paper mixed with my tears or the computer got washed with my tears. I just wrote. Bank bosses listen. Bank pressure can turn the most docile lamb into a ferocious lion if you do not control yourself and completely forget that THERE IS LIFE OUTSIDE THE BANK. Surely you will meet those staff you gave hell outside the bank and God help you, if they are the only ones who saw you enter a ditch, you will die there and they will shrug their shoulders and justify it, but I was not the one that pushed him in. Sorry for all the detours, cant help it. Over 13 years experience no bi moi moi case. So, I wrote to tell myself that I had plenty of correct stuff in me, that I was intelligent lol and a writer despite how they feel about a report paper I single HANDEDLY researched and wrote. It made me stop thinking of that kind of work again ( bank) but what I can basically do to survive was on my mind and trust God, ideas flooded my spirit. NOW YOU THAT IS IN THE BANK FRUSTRATED, ARE YOU TURNING YOUR FRUSTRATION INTO THOUGHTS OF FRAUD OR ARE YOU THINKING OF REDIRECTING YOUR ENERGY TO SOME POSITIVE THINGS? ONE OF THE PROS OF WORKING IN A BANK IS FOR THE WISE YOU BEGIN EARLY TO PLAN YOUR PLAN B, C AND D INSTEAD OF WAITING FOR THEM TO SACK YOU. BUT FROM EXPERIENCE MANY PEOPLE DONT; COMPLACENCY, PROCRASTINATION, LACK OF WILL POWER, DECEIT OF JUMBO PAY ARE THEIR BANE. Read the 3 previous parts and contribution wanted.
