BARC test Results are out!!!!! My sincere advice to all those who r planning to appear is that, dont concentrate on quantity, means no need to prepare a lot of subjects, even if u prepare 3 subjects in depth that is sufficient to clear the interview satisfactorily,,,, I got selected in BARC last year, on training here right now.... before interview I was also worried about how any subjects to prepare, but I must tell that instead of preparing all the subject choose just 3-4 subject about which u feel confident... I told RAC, THERMODYNAMICS and STRENGtH OF MATERIALS.... In RAC questions are mostly from psychrometry and real life situations like drying of clothes, humidity, working of cooler AC etc In SOM shear force and bending moment , torsion and bending of beams is more than sufficient... just be thorough with it and be ready to go as deep as possible in these topics In thermo questions will be very basic...... mostly they ll ask u to draw curves of different phenomenon, their physical significance, Ice water mixture questions, practical problems of thermo ... A few elementary questions were asked from mathematics like sine curve , cos curve and some interpretation based upon that... One or two questions from Fluid mechanics will be certainly there even if u dont mention the subject at all... based on pressure, flow thru pipes etc just be calm during interview and dont answer spontaneously, take some time and then answer to the point, dont unnecessarily show ur knowledge, because the interview itself will test ur depth of knowledge All the BEST!!!! further queries are most welcome...
