BARCS (BALTIMORE) Rescue only: Wilbur 8 weeks old, unalt male, 1.8 lbs Wilbur is an adorable little kitten who came to our shelter as a stray. He loves to purr and couldnt be a sweeter baby. He has congenital defects and bilteral eyelid agensis syndrome with microopthasmos and persisten pupillary membranes. He is able to see some but his vision will most likely remain poor, and his eyelids must be kept lubricated to prevent ulceration. Because Wilbur is still so young, reevaluation is recommended at 4 months old before moving forward with a specific treatment plan (hospice care vs reconstructive surgery vs bilateral eye removal). Wilbur is currently in a temporary foster home until we are able to find rescue but BARCS cannot care for his long term medical needs. Please let us know if you can help! -- Thanks for all you do!
