Between 3pm on sun the 18.8. and 430pm on mon the 19.8. clothing has been stolen from a washing line at the rear of a Zebina Street, Broken Hill address 2. Between 7am and 5pm on mon the 19.8. offender/s have stolen a 40 litre engel fridge from the back yard of a Bathurst Street, Broken Hill address 3. About 10am on mon the 19.8. a prime mover being driven by a 44 year old man from South Australia has been travelling west along the Barrier Hwy. About 45 klms east of Broken Hill the vehicle has gone around a sweeping right hand bend, where the driver appears to have lost control causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and then roll onto its side. The truck was carrying approx 444 sheep and Police and other emergency attended. Local council and agriculture rangers attended and also assisted with the accident scene Police anticipate that approx 200 of the sheep had to be destroyed due to their injuries, or that they had died in the rollover The driver has been issued with an infringement notice for Negligent Driving 4. Between 2am on sat the 17.8. and 830am on mon the 19.8. offenders have smashed the glass panels to the telestra phone box situtated at the intersection of Silverton Road and Layard Street, Silverton DARETON - WENTWORTH - BURONGA 1. Between 6pm on fri the 16.8. and 12md on sun the 18.8. offenders have gone to a primary school at Gol Gol and smashed a window. No other damage appears to have been caused and no property appears to have been stolen at this time 2. About 1pm on sun the 18.8. Police have stopped a car near the intersection of Matong and Avoca Street, Dareton that was being driven by a 43 year old local man A check of his licence has revealed that due to his traffic record, he had previously had his licence disqualified until September, 2026 Police have previously received a number of calls about the driver getting around the streets intoxicated He was breath tested and after giving a positive result, was arrested and taken to the Dareton Police Station where a breath analysis gave a reading of 0.232 He has been charged with:- Driving with a High Range PCA - 2nd offence Driving whilst Disqualified He has been released on conditional bail to appear at the Wentworth LC on the 8.10.13
