Police have stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Argent Street and Menindee Road, Broken Hill that was being driven by a 26 year old local man A check of his drivers licence has shown that he was a disqualified driver until October, 2013 He is to be issued with a Field Court Attendance Notice for the offence of Disqualified Driver and he will be appearing before the Broken Hill LC 3. About 1255am on tues the 22.10. Police have stopped a car in Piper Street, Broken Hill that was being driven by a 30 year old local man He was subjected to a random breath test and gave a positive reading and was then arrested and taken to the Broken Hill Police Station where a breath analysis gave a reading of 0.119 He will be issued with a Field Court Attendance Notice for the offence of Driving with a Mid Range PCA and will be appearing before the Broken Hill LC 4. About 1055pm on mon the 21.10. Police have stopped a vehicle in Silver Street, Broken Hill being driven by a 30 year old Victorian woman She was subjected to a random breath test and gave a positive reading and was then arrested and taken to the Broken Hill Police Station where a breath analysis gave a reading of 0.094 While in Police custody she was also searched and a credit card that had previously been reported stolen from a tourist staying at the White Cliffs caravan park was recovered She has since been charged with the following offences:- * Driving with a Mid Range PCA * Goods in Custody (for the card) and she has also been issued with a licence suspension notice DARETON - WENTWORTH - BURONGA 1. Police have had an accident reported to them where a prime mover that was travelling along Adams Street, Wentworth and carrying a number of large silos on the back of it, has come into contact with a power line that was across the roadway This has caused it to pull the cable away from the front roof area of a nearby home, causing minor damage and also caused a power pole to be moved significantly coming to rest on a lean Country Energy staff were present and they are have attended to the damage Police inquiries continue in relation to speaking with the driver of the heavy vehicle 2.
