BARRINGTON TOPS SNOW REPORT Tuesday 12th August 2014 8.25am NO SNOW TO REPORT. The cold snap has hit the Tops area late yesterday afternoon with temperatures plummeting back into the minus temperatures. A very big white frost greeted us this morning but as has been the case insufficient moisture, for snowfall. Looks like another sunny day on the way. Temperatures will gradually warm, as we move through the week, with some long waited showers of rain predicted for early next week. Not much to report on our next cold front, looks like our weather pattern will be dominated by a strong high over the South Australian Bight. As this High moves slowly eastward it is likely to produce south / south westerly moist winds that will impact with widespread rainfalls along Eastern Australia. Heres hoping for a least a couple of more cold fronts/snaps this winter. Fingers crossed. Current Conditions on the Barrington Tops; Temperature Current temperature - 1.0 deg C Overnight low - 2.4 deg C Overnight high - 0.9 deg C Rainfall No rainfall recorded today. 0.0 mm Windspeed Current reading 3.0 kph Barometric Pressure Current reading 848.6 hPa
