BASSES LOADED 2014 is a concert celebrating all things bass and is the 20th anniversary of the first Summer NAMM Basses Loaded show in 1994. More than a dozen bassists will rock the house on Thursday, July 17, on the main stage of Nashville’s Music City Convention Center from 6 p.m. to 7:15, during Summer NAMM. The show features Dave Pomeroy and the All-Bass Orchestra, composed of many of Nashville’s finest electric and acoustic bassists, who will be joined by numerous special guest bass soloists, including Chuck Rainey, Bakhiti Kumalo, Vail Johnson and Bill Dickens. Concert sponsors are Warwick, Kala U-Bass, GHS Strings, Boss, and the Music Performance Trust Fund. The concert will be open to the public as well as NAMM attendees, and also marks the first ever DVD release of the historic 1996 video The Day The Bass Players Took Over The World, featuring Dave Pomeroy and the All-Bass Orchestra, with guests Victor Wooten, Steve Bailey, Oteil Burbridge, and Bill Dickens, and lots of special bonus material.
