BATOMALJ - a small village core, situated in the depression of #Baška, #KrkIsland, #Kvarner, #Croatia at the foot of the mountain, on top of one of the hills. The primary core of the settlement is formed of a complex of condensed houses, with narrow streets with small central areas. Here is situated a small Chapel of St. Nicholas dating from 1676. The houses are wooden, mostly two or three storey houses, with a small ground-plan surface, roofs having two eaves and covered with half-round tiles. The outhouses, mostly built in dry-wall technique, are situated outside the settlement.
