BATTLE OF RHAMU:.. I am shocked to hear that Rhamu Town has morning been into a warzone full of heavy gunfights, shelling and bloodsheds. Inter-clan militias have turned the town into a Mogadishu of 1992/1993 and the most shameful part is that both the Kenya Police Service and the Kenya Defence Forces based in Rhamu Town are just mere spectators waiting for the battle to end so that they can invite the Kenya Red Cross Society to collect the dead bodies and take the injured to Mandera General Hospital. Imagine in a country that has rule of law and order militias are exchanging heavy gunfire as if it is a joke or what and the residents are having sleepless nights with the towns economy coming to a standstill as a result of the battle. What a shame!!, the Government of Kenya must stand up to the reality that the people of Mandera County too need urgent response same as the Lamu response & not double standards. Shame!!!
