AT the NUJ Centre Yenagoa, Comrade Idumange John advocates that social media practitioners should take courses in mainstream journalism and adhere to the basic principles of journalism. He said, the social media looks forward to a situation whereby Social Media Practitioners, like the mainstream journalists, have an Association to protect members and to regulate the practice. There is also a need for Social Media Practitioners to be fair, objective, truthful and factual in their reportage. 10/12/2014
