**** BAYESWATER BIGGIE **** Our newest consultant, Joe Atkinson continued his run of form since joining the team when he bagged this personal best 47lb 7oz mirror known as The Caribbean Queen during a session on the Bayeswater syndicate. Over to Joe for some details: “I’ve had a ticket for the lake for three years, but I haven’t really fished it a great deal. I decided that this would be my year to fish it properly and I had a great start, landing a 30-pounder on my first trip of the year a couple of weeks back and that was the first fish out since October last year. A couple of other fish had been caught since then and I couldn’t help thinking the next one out might be one of the biggies, so I got back down for another go. Just into dark, as I was making a brew, one of my alarms signalled a take. The fish kited towards me and I couldn’t tell what I was attached to. Once it was in the margins it started to feel heavy and after a few minutes plodding about I caught sight of a large flank and knew it could only be one of the big girls. Once in the net the true size could be appreciated, it was simply immense and I recognised her as The Caribbean Queen, one of the lake’s really special ones. The scales showed 47lb 7oz and it was a new personal best for me, I was absolutely buzzing!” Angling Direct employee Joe fished to a clear spot amongst weed at 40 yards range where he baited with two kilos of Krill boilies soaked in our new Cloudy Krill Liquid. A matching hookbait was presented over the top alongside a PVA stick of crushed freebies and Pure Krill Powder.
