About BBT | The School of Russian American Ballet The School of Russian American Ballet was established in 1987 as a not-for profit organization and held its first class with just five students in a tiny studio. Oh, how times have changed since then. Today, the Brooklyn-based ballet center–located on the campus of Kingsborough Community College–employs teachers trained in the famed Vaganova Methods.
